Welcome to the Refuge Family
We are glad you are here!
It is very important to us that you realize that this new journey toward transformation is just as much about you as it is about your guy. No matter what your story or how you got here - God desires to have a personal and lasting relationship with you as well.
"When a man changes as much as The Refuge changes men the rest of the family changes too, if willing! I am a changed, better person, closer to God because my son went to The Refuge!"
- Marla Hurst, Refuge Parent
As your Refuge family, we are here to support you in your journey toward a healthy life and relationship with God as much as we can because we’ve all been right where you are. Let that remind you of one thing: there is always hope!
“...and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts…”
- Romans 5:5
We look forward to meeting each of you in person, hearing your story, and helping you heal so that you can help reach out to others! Here are a few ways to find us:
Family Support Team
We know your guy’s first 30-45 days in the Refuge (Phase 1) are often the most difficult for him - and for you! Here is contact information for a few women who have been there and have offered to be available for questions.
Rekah Linton "Family & Communications Liason" email@example.com
For emergencies or ministry-related questions, please contact us at (614) 991-0131.
You are welcome to join our Veritas West church family any Sunday at 10:30am (12 S. Terrace Ave, Columbus OH 43204). This is the same location where your guy attended our Orientation, and the same church where he will attend through Phase 3 and Phase 4! If you don’t have a church home, we strongly suggest that you find one (our Refute Network page might help!), and even better if you’d like to join ours!
Refuge Network Family Support
Take a moment to read up on our Champions and you’ll realize that it has huge potential as a family support system as well! If there isn’t already a Champion or Champions group at your church, we would love to come share with your ministers and/or congregation how they can be “changing lives affected by addiction” as well!
For you personally, find and stay connected to a support group who knows you and loves you well. You will need it in the months and days ahead. If you don’t have one or don’t know where to start, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will do all we can to direct you to the nearest one.
