  • Who is eligible to enroll in The Refuge?

The Refuge accepts adult men struggling with addiction. We focus on individuals who are willing to commit to a long-term program and embrace the relational, faith-based approach we offer.

  • Does The Refuge assist with mental health?

Yes, The Refuge accommodates mental health needs by allowing residents to continue prescribed mental health medications. We also partner with Southwest Healthcare to provide care for those who need additional support. However, residents must be Addiction Primary with Mental Health Secondary to qualify for our program.

  • Does The Refuge offer medical or mental health services?

Yes. While we are not a clinical facility, residents have access to licensed mental health professionals and physicians who address their medication and symptom management needs.

  • Are medications permitted at The Refuge?

Yes, prescribed medications for mental health conditions (e.g., anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder) are allowed, provided they are approved by our medical team.

  • My client is currently receiving Disability Benefits, will that be ok?

Workforce development is an essential part of Phases Two, Three, and Four at The Refuge. A strong desire to return to work is crucial for success in our program. If someone is currently receiving Disability Benefits, they would need to relinquish those benefits to fully engage in the workforce development aspect of the program and enroll in The Refuge.
