There is no cost to enter The Refuge. We provide all of our services free of charge.
We are blessed to have many church partners and individual donors who support our mission to help men rebuild their lives. In addition, we receive funding through grants, Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services, and our workforce development program, which all help us to provide our services at no charge.
While we are happy to help you quit, you may use tobacco and nicotine products throughout The Refuge.
You are welcome to bring your cell phone, but you will not have access to it until you reach Phase Three of The Refuge.
Our curriculum does not include the 12-step program, but you will have the freedom to attend a 12-step meeting once you reach Phase Three.
Our services are entirely free. However, if you would like to make a donation, please contact our Chief Development Officer, Matt Hunnell. Or you can make a gift through our donation page.
Please bring essential clothing items like pants, underwear, shorts, shirts, hoodies, pajamas, and hats. If you do not have any of these item, don’t worry—we’ll help provide what you need.
Please do not bring mouthwash containing alcohol, laptops, video game systems, Bluetooth speakers, televisions, knives, or tools.
In addition to all our services, The Refuge will provide you with food, all hygiene products, laundry soap, storage tote, new pillow, new bedsheets, new pillowcase, postage stamps, correspondence materials, brand new pair of Steel-Toed Rocky Boots, and all work-safety equipment.
Communication and visitation begin in Phase Two. Once in Phase Three, you will be able to spend weekends away from The Refuge.
The Refuge is 13-months divided into four separate phases.
