Dear Refuge Community, As we reflect on the incredible two-decade journey of the Refuge, it becomes evident that change has been a constant companion throughout our ministry. From humble beginnings to where we stand today, God has continually stretched our faith, challenging us to trust Him and make adjustments for the betterment of the men we serve. In our pursuit of fulfilling our mission, we have experienced countless tweaks, adjustments, and transformations. The ever-evolving nature of the Refuge is a testament to our unwavering commitment to making a lasting impact on the lives of those battling addiction and brokenness. Each step we take is a testament to God’s guidance and His calling upon our lives. Over the years, we have encountered changes in various aspects, including property, locations, personnel, and most importantly, the lives of the men we support. Our journey has been marked by numerous transitions, and we have witnessed firsthand how these shifts have played a vital role in our ministry’s growth and effectiveness. Adaptability has been key to our success. Just as we have adjusted our logo and discipleship process to enhance our operations and better serve our community, we have remained steadfast in our unwavering commitment to the gospel. We will never compromise our mission or dilute the transformative power of Christ. Our ultimate goal remains the same—to see those who are broken and addicted find restoration and healing through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Amidst the changes and challenges we have faced, we have also embraced a spirit of excellence. Our continual pursuit of improvement has led us to refine our processes, ensuring that we provide the highest quality care and support to those who turn to us for help. While we navigate state certification changes and adapt to evolving best practices, we remain anchored in our core values and the belief that God’s grace can bring about true transformation. As we move forward, we are excited about the future of the Refuge. We are committed to walking alongside individuals on their journey to recovery, providing them with the love, support, and resources they need to overcome their struggles. We are determined to make a lasting impact and be a beacon of hope in our community. To all those who have been a part of the Refuge—our dedicated team, compassionate volunteers, generous supporters, and the men who have courageously pursued transformation—we extend our heartfelt gratitude. It is through your unwavering support and commitment that lives are being changed, and hope is being restored. As we stand at the threshold of new opportunities, we invite you to join us in prayer, in sharing our mission with others, and in continuing to provide the resources necessary to fulfill our calling. Together, let us press on, embracing change, trusting in God’s guidance, and witnessing lives transformed through the power of Christ. Thank you for being a part of the Refuge family—a community united in love, hope, and the belief that every life is worth redeeming. In faith and gratitude, Tom Thompso n The Refuge Ministries
